Meet the Photographer

Hey, I'm Özüm!

I have worked as a professional photographer for six years, and as a hobbyist for as long as I can remember. After a bachelor's degree in journalism, I went on to a master's in business. Now I'm taking art classes, which feels right as the daughter of an artist, and I'm pursuing my long-time passion more every day.

I'm working on two side projects, and one I can share here. The Bench Project combines my love of street photography with personal thoughts and observations about people, mostly in New York City, the greatest city in the world. I plan to make a zine soon, with space for other creatives, and I'm very excited about it.
