What a Session Is Like
Most couples are nervous about being photographed. I keep direction light and give you small things to do: walk, whisper, share a coffee, take the long way to the next corner. The camera mostly stays out of the way.
We choose a location that matches your story, whether that's the spot you met, a favorite neighborhood or somewhere with the skyline behind you. Sessions usually run 60 to 90 minutes and include one outfit change if you'd like.

From Recent Clients
Ozum was absolutely amazing! We truly could not have asked for a better photographer to capture our engagement. From the very beginning she made the entire experience feel comfortable, natural, and special, and the photos turned out even better than I could have imagined. Every single picture is beautifully done. She captured not only the proposal itself, but all of the emotion, excitement, and little moments surrounding it. Looking through the gallery genuinely feels like getting to relive one of the happiest moments of our lives. She was professional, kind, easy to work with, and incredibly talented. You can tell she really cares about getting the moment right and I’m so grateful we had her there for such an important day. If you’re considering Ozum for your proposal or any special occasion in New York I cannot recommend her enough. These are photos we’re going to treasure forever.

Ozum was wonderful. We arrived about 10 minutes late, but she waited for us with a kind smile and was very flexible. She guided us through Central Park, from the Shakespeare statue to Bethesda Terrace and Bow Bridge, and she made us feel relaxed from the first minute. She took many more photos than we expected, and every picture is beautiful and natural. You can see our real laughter in each one. This shoot was for my wife's 30th birthday and our first time together after six months apart, and Ozum captured that feeling perfectly. Thank you so much, Ozum!

Ozum was fantastic! The proposal happened exactly how we planned. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!

Before You Book
How long before the wedding should we book an engagement shoot?
Most couples shoot 3 to 9 months before the wedding so the photos can go on save-the-dates and a welcome sign.
We're awkward in front of a camera. Is that okay?
Very common. Plenty of couples tell me they're awkward. I give prompts and the stiffness goes away within ten minutes.
Do you photograph weddings?
I focus on engagements, portraits and events. If you're planning a small elopement or city-hall ceremony, ask and I'll let you know if it's a fit.
Can you photograph a proposal?
Yes. We'll plan the spot, the timing and how to keep it secret.
